Twisters: 7/10

A story about storm chasing in tornado alley, USA. It starts of hard-hitting, showing the pure power of tornados and the damage and devastation they can cause family’s and whole towns. The movie does well to ground itself in the long term effects of tornados throughout.

Tyler’s (Glen Powell) character stepped right out of his F-18 and into the role of Tornado Wrangler, but Hangman took on the mantle well and the witty-banter and shared comradely between him and Kate (Daisy Edgar-Jones) builds appropriately over their love of geography rather than their love of each other. I was concerned when I saw the trailer that Twisters would be a slog of CGI and no storyline but I was pleasantly surprised, recommended.
